Continuity is the credential.
A professional body is only worth the standard it has held over time. Fifty years of elected Presidents, each accountable to the membership that chose them, is the Institute’s answer to anyone asking whether its letters have meant the same thing for as long as it has been awarding them.
The Presidency is honorary and unpaid. Every name here gave two years of their working life to the profession rather than to their own firm.
