Demolition engineering is a small discipline carrying an outsized share of construction risk. The knowledge that keeps it safe sits in the heads of practising engineers, in guidance scattered across a dozen bodies, and in the hard lessons of jobs that went wrong. The Institute’s job is to gather it, and to publish it.
