Subscriptions
A revision of the current Subscription fees was carried out at the Annual General Meeting on 13 November 2015.
The fees for the period 2022-2023 are reflected below and will be effective from 1st May 2022:
£275.00 – Entrant and Technician Grade
£250.00 – Associate (All Associate members have passed the Institute’s examinations)
£225.00 – Full Member and Fellow
£275.00 – Affiliate
£30.00 – Full Member or Fellow who is fully retired
There is currently no fee attached to Student Membership
NB: Failure to pay Subscription fees any later than 2 months after the deadline given will automatically result in termination of Membership.
Joining the Institute
Our members say they join to:
- gain accreditation as a competent professional Demolition Engineer
- acquire knowledge through attending seminars and meetings.
- participate in an exchange and discussion of ideas and information
- enjoy a representation of common interests
- have continuing professional development noted and valued.
Categories of Membership
- Professional.
Membership is for individuals who are involved in some aspect of demolition engineering, and who could be expected to be able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge and experience within the demolition industry. - Student
The Institute of Demolition Engineers is pleased to confer complimentary membership on students studying a subject relevant to demolition engineering at a recognised university or college. Evidence of participation in such a course is required when applying to join and at the beginning of each academic year. - Affiliate
Affiliates are employed in industries related to demolition engineering. Affiliates would not be demolition engineers as such but highly supportive of the work of the Institute.
There is no provision for companies to become members. The Institute does not give any form of corporate accreditation.
From 1st May 2019 the fee for joining the IDE will be £275.00 and should be paid at the time of applying for membership.
