Grades of Membership
Technician Grade Membership is open to all practicing Demolition Supervisors and Managers who have a minimum of 5 years time served and have achieved a level of competency to at least “Gold Card” Supervisor status. All Technician Grade members are entitled to place TechIDE after their name.
The first step on the road to Full Membership is election and admission to the basic grade. The Rules of the Institute set out the criteria for election and admission to this grade.
Once the examinations have been passed, not less than two years will be spent in the Associate grade.
Full Members are entitled to place MIDE after their names and use the IDE logo on personal business cards and stationery.
A Fellow shall include a person when the Council elect to invite and transfer to the grade of Fellow.
The Institute of Demolition Engineers is pleased to confer complimentary membership on students studying a subject relevant to demolition engineering at a recognised university or college.
The Institute is pleased to receive applications for Affiliate grade from professionals who are closely connected with demolition engineering but not demolition engineers as such.
