This morning the IDE have received the following communication from Jack McLellan from All Hands Volunteers in the hope that we may be able to help.

“I am contacting you from a large Non Government Organisation (NGO) called All Hands Volunteers. I am currently out in Nepal working on a program to demolish buildings that are in a very bad way structurally. We are currently looking to fill a position that involves demolishing large multi storey buildings and also training the official Nepali Engineers. We have the previous experience & knowledge in bringing down hundreds of buildings but we are looking to move into a more professional outfit. Our main aim is to purely help the Nepalese get back to some sort of normality and the first step is to give them back the land where they destroyed homes currently stand. I need to get help to these victims of the earthquake. In Nepal we officially have over half a million homes that are deemed destroyed but still need to be demolished so we need someone who is qualified to demolish these homes. We offer a competitive salary, accommodation, food and travel to and from Nepal “

If you are interested in this role or are able to assist in any way please contact Jack in the first instance –
