At their meeting on 16 November, the Council of Management elected and admitted A Harry Ward to the Entrant grade.   Mr Ward in an engineer with Armac Demolition Ltd. We welcome him to membership of the Institute and look forward to him passing the examinations and graduating to Associate membership

Charities benefit from Raffle and Auction

We are pleased to announce that the Raffle and ‘Bucket’ collection at the Annual Luncheon raised £2994.  Successful bids in the Auction added £4550 to this figure making a total of £7544. IDE member brings hospital down

IDE International Entrant Fábio Bruno Pinto has sent film of the demolition of the Hospital Santa Monica in Niteroi, Rio. The demolition took place at 8am last Friday, used 150kg of explosives, and took around 13 seconds to come down.
