brian-nimickBrian Nimick, Chief Executive of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management will be speaking about his Institute.

The Institute represents the interests of health, safety and risk management professionals in over 80 countries worldwide.  Its aim is through the representation and support of members, to promote their interests as professionals and the wider interests of occupational safety and health.  IIRSM is a not for profit organisation.

Prior to his appointment, Brian was Chief Executive of the British Safety Council.  Previous appointments include Director General of the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK and CEO of the Medical Supplies Agency.

Brian has an MSc in Organisational Behaviour and Development.  He is a member of the Medical Advisory Panel to the UK Secretary of State for Transport, a member of the Young Persons and Children and Accident Prevention Special Scientific Committees of the International Commission for Occupational Health (ICOH), a board member of the National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and a member of the Advisory Committee for the MSC in Occupational Health at the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations at Nottingham University.
