Spring Seminar – 25 February 2011 – Royal Armouries, Leeds
sutherlandBruce Sutherland Bsc Hons, CFIOSH, MIDE, R MaPS joins the list of speakers

Bruce has been working in and around demolition health and safety for the past 18 years. He started by “advising” contractors on behalf of the HSE and then went on to set up and run Noble Health and Safety.  Interestingly, most of the initial business was with his “ex HSE clients” presumably on a get out of jail free basis. Bruce has been involved in hundreds of demolition, asbestos and remediation projects across the UK and abroad and has a reputation for practical solutions and being able to communicate to all levels.

As well as running a succesful business that employed 22 staff, Bruce has served on various National Committees including the UKAS Technical Advisory Committee for Asbestos and the UKATA Executive Committee. He has recently been invited to serve on the IDE Council of Management and is looking forward to helping keeping the IDE moving forward. Bruce is a Member of the Society of Expert Witness and regularly acts in civil and criminal  court cases, frequently against the HSE. He is currently consulting for the Goverment of Gibraltar on a commercial dispute. Having recently sold Noble to a National Company, Bruce is contemplating his next move. He is even considering completing the triumvirate and adding contractor to his enforcement and consultant hats!
