A qualified environmental scientist and barrister, Phil has worked in the field of environmental management and protection for over 19 years. He currently provides tailored legal and environmental consultancy advice to industry and government bodies on the practical implementation of environmental law.
His legal training includes advocacy, negotiation and mediation and he also provides pro-bono legal services. He has experience delivering European Union funded projects to small and medium sized enterprises helping them to become compliant with environmental legislation and has successfully developed opportunities for environmental business for a major private research company and developed commercial waste management businesses for a large aggregates corporation.
As a senior environmental regulatory compliance professional and environmental scientist, within the UK’s Environment Agency, Phil has carried out duties including pollution monitoring, permitting of waste operations and gathering evidence of non-compliance with environmental legislation.
